California Star is Ducato’s new DDH Session IPA in collaboration with Firestone Walker.

We have found in our hearts that magical compass that we use during our endless journeys through the kaleidoscopic world of beer.

With our imagination we landed overseas, under a sky full of stars, close to an even greater sea, a place where a group of Californian brewers, led by Matt Brynildson, has been mastering the art of brewing since 1996.

And we who are good connoisseurs and brewers of successful American IPAs, have returned home to give life to a great collaboration, an indelible memory of a journey to the brightest star in California.

Firestone Walker is in fact the second largest craft brewery in the Golden State, the land of creativity and innovation par excellence. Paste Magazine, one of the most important in the sector in America, has elected Firestone Walker the “Best American Brewery of the Decade” which covers the period from 2010 to 2019. Always passionately looking for the perfect beer and never satisfied, our overseas cousins need no further introduction, being one of the most prestigious brands that distinguish the large Duvel Moortgat family of breweries.

The Session IPA California Star has a straw yellow color, with an elegant veil and a fine and persistent foam. The nose is flooded with hints of American aromatic hops used in two different Dry Hopping that release notes of red fruits, citrus, resin and tropical fruit. With the first sip, the very pleasant exotic hints of hops are confirmed, supported by good carbonation and a strong body, despite the low alcohol content (4.5% ABV).

Light and refreshing, its great drinkability makes it a must for hot summer afternoons, whether Italian or Californian!

Available from July in limited quantities exclusively in 20 liter kegs. Reservations are open, hurry up before it runs out!
