On the 17th of December the mayor of Parma Federico Pizzarotti, the Trade Councillor Cristiano Casa and the Head of Cabinet Francesco Cirillo visited the new bottling and production line of Birrificio del Ducato in its headquarter in Soragna. Their visit was guided by Master Brewer Giovanni Campari together with Commercial Director Eline Warrinnier and Sales Manager Simone Guarda that explained them how the new fully automatic bottling machinery works. The Ducato team also proudly presented the new laboratory which has been doubled in size to optimize even more the quality of the products. The continuous striving for excellence clearly paid off receiving high recognitions, in particular from the mayor of Parma. At the end of the tour the guests enjoyed a freshly tapped beer in the new company shop.

Receiving the mayor of Parma was an important occasion for the brewery because our product is very much tied to the Parmesan territory. For instance, in 2015 Parma was rewarded ‘City of Gastronomy’ by UNESCO. This means Parma has become the epicenter of the Italian Food Valley, and one of the places with the largest number of typical products protected by quality brands in Italy. In fact it is no coincidence that the Ducato beers perfectly match the local products such as Prosciutto di Parma Dop or Parmigiano Reggiano Dop.
